  1. Eligibility: The Embassy of Mali in Pretoria delivers entry visas to citizens or residents of the following countries: South Africa, Botswana, Comoros, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Seychelles, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
  2. Application form: visa application form is to be fully and properly filled. Personal details such as name(s) and surname must match exactly passport information. Omissions or errors in the application might cause delay in the process
  3. Passport: All travellers will need a passport valid for at least 3 months following their departure date from Mali. The passport must have at least 2 free consecutive pages in the visa section.
  4. Invitation letter and/or employer’s letter:
    -For visit visa: an invitation letter from the contact person in Mali or hotel reservation.
    -For business visa: a business letter from the Malian partner company and/or an employment letter from the local company. The Embassy is entitled to verify the authenticity of the documents provided.
  5. Proof of funds: where the invitation letter, the business letter or the employment letter does not state that expenses related to the stay in Mali will be catered for, the applicant shall provide three (3) bank statements for the last three months.
  6. Ticket reservation: A round trip airline ticket or booking must be available. The ticket or reservation must explicit show the entry point and arrival date in Mali as well as the exit point and date of departure from Mali.
  7. Photographs: Two recent passport colour photos.
  8. Vaccination certificate: Original of the yellow fever vaccination certificate
